Surprise Dinner for Jay at Matilda Bay

I decided to surprise Jay with a nice dinner. It was pretty much for nothing so it was really fun… What I did next still makes me laugh in reminiscence…  I did not have a blindfold so I had to use a scarf (a present from his mother).. here’s the result:

ahhahaa. It was pretty funny. I was driving a little dangerously to disorientate him. I was making abrupt turns and when a car honked, Jay whimpered in fear saying he wanted to go home.. haha.

In the end, after I allowed him to take off his scarf, he still didn’t know where he was!! It took him a while to realise that he was at The Matilda Bay Restaurant. (15 out of 20 points given by The Good Food Guide by The West Australian)

On to more interesting stuff… here is my entree (below, left): Quail breast with quail leg omelet in a shitake broth.

Jay’s Main : Ricotta Gnocchi with Mushrooms and Pedro Ximinez. Heaven…
Its yum to the max… I highly recommend it.
Above: Sumac crusted Tuna… I thought it was a little bit dry.
Below: Jay’s Yum Salmon
and we drank…
and we were happy….. :)
Overall, I give them 7 out of 10!
Can you see the fin??? My gasp was followed by another diner’s gasp and we all ran out!!! haha

We also saw a dolphin!!!! Good sign!! hahha.. I am still slightly tipsy so not really typing well… but tomorrow I’ll be too lazy so thought I’d blog first. Good night everyonee!!
